Nancy Campbell Collegiate Institute was named in honour of Nancy Campbell (1905-1980). Ms. Campbell was an accomplished pianist, artist, actress and dancer. Her interests embraced the arts and countless other intellectual pursuits. A true world citizen, motivated by her belief in the Bahá'í Faith, Ms. Campbell worked tirelessly to promote the ideal of the oneness of humanity. She was a dynamic speaker who travelled throughout the world giving lectures on peace and world unity. Ms. Campbell served on a variety of international organizations including the United Nations Organization in Canada and the World Federalists. Nancy Campbell exemplified the way people all over the world can strengthen the bonds of friendship and co-operation.
